My story
We're taking on the challenge of Calling Cape Town 2027 to support Calling Education. Calling Education has the audacious vision of providing top-quality education to learners from low-income communities for South Africa. Combining three of Cape Town’s most gruelling challenges into one extreme event. This extraordinary endeavour involves an 8km open water swim, completing the Cape Town Cycle Tour of 109 km directly afterwards and then tackling the Three Peaks Challenge, a 50 km trail run with a combined elevation of 3 km all within 24 hours. This cause is closely aligned with the Professional Provident Society belief that investing in education creates lasting impact. Every kilometre we cover is for someone chasing a dream. Calling Cape Town was started by passionate South Africans set on tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges - giving the majority of its children access to quality education.
Every athlete and volunteer takes on the challenge to raise funds for Calling Education, which has proven that you can run an independent high school delivering top-quality education for around R8,000 a year - from 60 learners in 2018 to more than 700 across three campuses today.
