Marelise Wessels
Fundraising for Calling Cape Town Challenge 2027
About Marelise Wessels
I’m Marelise Wessels, a 48-year-old wife, mom and a lover of nature, animals and a healthy lifestyle filled with movement. I’m incredibly grateful for my health and physical ability, and I want to use that privilege for something bigger than myself by taking on Calling Cape Town to raise funds for Calling Academy and create opportunities for young people to develop into the healthy and thriving citizens they deserve to be.

Calling Cape Town was started by passionate South Africans set on tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges - giving the majority of its children access to quality education.
Every athlete and volunteer takes on the challenge to raise funds for Calling Education, which has proven that you can run an independent high school delivering top-quality education for around R8,000 a year - from 60 learners in 2018 to more than 700 across three campuses today.
