My story
I have to warn you, it's not so much about whether you can complete this event, but whether you will be able to get out. Once it gets hold of you, you cannot let it go. You join for the challenge; you stay for the kids.

Your donation turns 167km of sweat into classrooms, books and real futures for South African learners.
Make a donationWe don't race for medals. We race so a generation of South African children can learn.

Calling Cape Town was started by passionate South Africans set on tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges - giving the majority of its children access to quality education.
Every athlete and volunteer takes on the challenge to raise funds for Calling Education, which has proven that you can run an independent high school delivering top-quality education for around R8,000 a year - from 60 learners in 2018 to more than 700 across three campuses today.
- 700+
- Learners now enrolled across three campuses
- R8k

- Founded in Stellenbosch with just 60 learners
Calling Education is a registered PBO (930055017).
