Fundraising for Calling Cape Town Challenge 2027
About Abraham Mogano
As a passionate ultra-endurance athlete, I channel my physical endurance challenges into education and health charity drives. I am a father of 3, an employee, and a business owner.
My story
My first University degree was sponsored by Kelloggs through an NPO called Medical Education for South African Blacks (MESAB) that operated from 1985- 2007. It was a collaboration between the Americans and South Africans, to provide financial support to disadvantaged students. Someone, somewhere raised funds for the education for someone they didn’t know. Calling Cape Town Challenge is now affording me an opportunity to raise funds for the education for someone I don’t know. Let’s do it!

Calling Cape Town was started by passionate South Africans set on tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges - giving the majority of its children access to quality education.
Every athlete and volunteer takes on the challenge to raise funds for Calling Education, which has proven that you can run an independent high school delivering top-quality education for around R8,000 a year - from 60 learners in 2018 to more than 700 across three campuses today.
