Sienna-Reese Lombard

Fundraising for Calling Cape Town Challenge 2027

About Sienna-Reese Lombard

I’m Sienna-Reese, a 19 year old South African scuba instructor, freediver and ocean lover. Most of my life revolves around the adventure and more specifically the ocean, whether I’m diving, surfing, hiking or learning, i’m always up to something! I’m taking on Calling Cape Town as a new challenge and a chance to push myself outside my comfort zone, while raising funds for an amazing cause. I feel that it is a wonderful cause that not only challenges the body but will be challenging the mind too, allowing for those participating to have the ultimate experience and the most fun! I want to make a long lasting impact on others. More specifically, women. I want to show us that we can do so much more, funds raised will be going towards enabling and supporting a community, and this is my dream - to assist in helping other dream too. I have swum the Midmar Mile three times, finishing all three times sub 35 minutes. I have also completed Capital K finishing swims in under an hour. I placed 42nd overall in The Nelson Mandela Bay 100th year swim in the Sundays river back in 2024. I competed in school league cross country, excelling in my age group and earning district colours.

    The Cause

We don't race for medals. We race so a generation of South African children can learn.

Calling Academy learners in school uniform on the sports field

Calling Cape Town was started by passionate South Africans set on tackling one of the country’s biggest challenges - giving the majority of its children access to quality education.

Every athlete and volunteer takes on the challenge to raise funds for Calling Education, which has proven that you can run an independent high school delivering top-quality education for around R8,000 a year - from 60 learners in 2018 to more than 700 across three campuses today.
